Buyer-side order verification

Lighting Quality Inspection in China

Confirm agreed product, quantity, finish, function, labeling and packaging details before a lighting order leaves the supplier.

A lighting inspection scope built around the order

Decorative, commercial, smart and project lighting do not share one universal checklist. Before inspection, the product specification, approved sample, quantity, acceptance points and reporting format should be agreed in writing.

Product Identity & Quantity

Verify models, variants, finishes, carton marks and available quantities against the approved order information.

Appearance & Assembly

Review visible surfaces, color consistency, parts, accessories, assembly and workmanship within the agreed scope.

Dimensions & Configuration

Check specified dimensions and relevant component or configuration details against the buyer’s confirmed reference.

Function Checks

Perform agreed functional or electrical checks when the required method, equipment and acceptance criteria have been confirmed.

Packaging & Labels

Review inner protection, accessories, manuals, labels, carton condition and shipping marks needed for the destination.

Photo & Video Evidence

Record representative findings and clearly identify open points so the buyer can review them before shipment approval.

When inspection can take place

1

Sample review

Compare a development or approval sample with the requested dimensions, finish, parts and basic function before bulk production.

2

Production follow-up

Review selected checkpoints during production when an early finding would help prevent a repeated issue.

3

Pre-shipment inspection

Inspect the agreed scope when production and packing are sufficiently complete, before the buyer releases shipment.

4

Loading supervision

Where requested, record container condition, carton count and loading progress at the shipment handoff.

What we need before quoting an inspection

  • Supplier and inspection location
  • Purchase order, product list and expected quantity
  • Approved sample, drawings or written specifications
  • Required checks and acceptance criteria
  • Packaging, labels and shipping-mark requirements
  • Target inspection and shipment dates
Scope first: confirm any sampling level, electrical test, compliance document or specialized equipment requirement before booking. The report should not imply tests that were not performed.

Related sourcing support

Inspection works best when product requirements and supplier communication stay consistent from quotation through packing.
